ANGELS IN THE WINGS

Where have all the angels gone
How can they not be surrounding us all
So many left without a prayer
Still hold on to the coming of the dawn

A new day will begin
But how will it end
Will I be forced to surrender to others sins
Where is the balance, courage so strong
Do I have to be again the one to carry on

Traveling so far just to escape
The horror the pain the memories
Not wanted here or there
How can one compare the life I once knew
To the one I have now

Others here too so many are they
Share the struggle just to survive another day
So many of us children without a Mom a Dad a Home
Do the Angels not see our struggle and fears
How have we disappeared

The dawn has brought an Angel today
She has come to let the world know we are here
She brings a smile, a tear, compassion so rare
She seems to understand our struggle
And sees us the children who have survived
She actually looks into our eyes

With tears of her own
Somehow she sees what matters most
Doesn't walk away or become a ghost
We have hope an Angel Stepped Out Of The Wings
Gave flight to our hopes and Inspires others to see

We are not forgotten
We are somebody
We have an Angel in our corner
Who has called on others to come and join
We are not alone anymore
