Enough of the pain
Chaos caused by insecurity
Stemming from control
That which you tried to have
Over me, Over so many

On my own without you
Without your judgment
Your idiotic ways
Trying to put me down

Always you had to be right
I was wrong
A bad person
When I didn't abide
By your wishes

Who I should be
Was not who I was
You could not accept me
You could not just let it be

So I said goodbye to you
To save myself from your lies
To see through my own eyes
Your view was so skewed

It was you who never grew
Once I set on the path to evolve
I saw your inability to be
On any kind of path with me

Now after so much time
Freedom has taken me to new heights
Your harsh words have floated away
Now only those who respect me
Ever get the chance to be with me

Goodbye can be the hardest word
But once you have used it enough
One finds freedom in this single word
Courage to be exactly who I am
