MISTY WATER'S EDGE

Walking upon the sandy beach
Hearing the crashing waves
Misty water's edge calls out
Yearning to bathe in the ocean

Wanting to cleanse the soul
Tide to roll in
Tide to roll out & off
Take away the pain out to sea

Sanitize the past
So that it can never be again
Let no one else experience this
Roll out so far and deep

Water calls again as always
To cool the burned flesh
Comforting the soul that lives within
Making whole again fresh, renewed
Now that one has found their way

Now the sun starting to peek through
Now a clearer picture of the water before us
Unending the stretch of blue
Suns rays have cleared the mist

Looking from side to side
Realizing that many more are here
At the water's edge
So many searching for peace

We in the mist emerge from our minds
To find many others to share this with
Finding another place we call home
At ease now blue, water, treasures in all
