REVEAL

A crushing tide upon my shore
Long gone the gentleness
Replaced by an unrelenting surf
Soon the erosion will be complete

Looks so deceiving aren't they
A calmness still seems apparent
Yet underneath the riptide is strong
Holding on with a vengeance

Crying out for a relaxing stream now
Waiting for the waves to subside
Biding my time until a new day dawns
Bringing a gentle lapping upon these shores

Where to find the strength
Enduring the next wave as it lands
Striking the sand with such force
One wonders why not walk a different course

But somehow there is a knowing
One is not done with this landscape yet
A lesson to be learned somehow here
Even though it seems no where near

Expose yourself
Reveal the lesson you have in store
Instead just more water will hit the shore
Taking out to sea sand and more

Engulfed in this moment
Time seems to stand still
Yet as the tide rises so does time go by
Sometimes when standing still
You are going faster than ever before....
