SOFT PETALS

Fragrant the blooms of Spring
Washing over me this morning
This feminine heart within
Taken in by your eyes that melt
Such a knowing so lovely & heartfelt

Bowing to the lessons lived, loved so far
Thorns of the rose still tender to touch
Yet moving beyond yesterday we allow
Ourselves within to feel so very much

Sensing the dawn we are drawn in
Singing the praises of life this day
Birds humming a tune so mellifluously
It is in your arms that I give myself sweetly
Over and over again to you so completely

Sultry soft petals are to the touch
Knowing beauty from within lush
Your skin against mine this night
Smelling your scent in such delight

Our garden just beginning to bloom
Finding emerging beauty each day
We become totally alive bathed in the warmth
Discovery of what is real, sweet transcendence
Since the opening of our new place of existence

A rain shower gently tapping on our window pane
Feeling your grip around my waist lovingly tighten
Sensuous kisses flowing down, it is my name you call
Within the safety we create, it is our own showers that fall
